The dcdevine consultancy is pleased to announce that beginning in May 1995, we shall provide CAD draughting services to Balfour Kilpatrick Limited, Projects & Installations Division, (B.I.C.C. Group) consulting & contracting building services engineers of Renfrew for the Scotbeef new-build.

1995-10 Edit: We mainly worked on Glasgow Airport refurbishment and Scotbeef projects using a networked AutoCAD release 12 for DOS drawing facility, and utilising externally referenced I.T. files, attribute defined write block I.T. files, compressed drawing I.T. files, paperspace tiles and modelspace viewports, Microsoft Windows and Xtree Gold I.T. file management systems, and Microsoft’s disk operating system (M.S.DOS) etc.

 

The success of contract 24 led to contract 25 — which was similarly successful, and we received an official commendation from the head of this new division, Alan Finlayson.

2006-09 Edit: BICC Group was officially renamed as Balfour Beatty plc in the year 2000.
