Wallace Whittle

We are pleased to announce a new project starting November 1994 — partnering Wallace, Whittle & Partners, (E.N.T.E.C. Group), building services consulting engineers in Glasgow to provide general CAD support using AutoCAD release 11. P.C. drawing system to their in-house standards and procedures.

We are to assist on the National Stadium at Hampden Building Services design, and for any of the various small projects ENTEC Wallace Whittle may have.

1995-04 Edit: We had hoped this project (contract #22) would develop and strengthen our CAD department. We gained valuable experience with managing extremely large files, slow regens and so working with xrefs and purging drawings etc.

All drawing work was 2.D. using only polylines and full size in modelspace. Plotting involved using software to split AutoCAD plt files across several floppy discs — and ‘re-assembling’ the files in the air-conditioned plotting room, where everything was plotted to A1 size.
