Johnson’s
Good news for the start of the second quarter — we have won a major contract to produce A4 wiring diagrams for Johnson Control Systems Limited (the UK part of Johnson Controls Inc.) design, installation and commissioning engineers for building automation systems of London, England at their Cumbernauld office.
1996-01 Edit: The initial contract was from April to November 1994, where our task was to resolve a 2 year “as built” backlog of “O&M Manual” wiring diagrams.
- This was our very first ever sole involvement with AutoCAD and computers.
We therefore devised a simple and streamlined system and provided 2.D. electrical and electronic wiring diagrams using AutoCAD releases 10, 11, and 12 for DOS P.C. drawing systems for A4 LaserJet printing. All to I.S.O.9002 / B.S.5750.
This immensely successful contract was the beginning of a long-term relationship, (our contracts refs 19, 20 & 21). We later wrote the Johnson Controls International CAD standard document, and compiled a symbols toolbar menu for all CAD seats.
