Fläkt

We have been approached by A.B.B. Fläkt Environmental Limited, (part of the Asea Brown Boveri Group of Birmingham, England) to assist them with their design and production of packages for contractors to price for the prestigious new factory and offices in Glenrothes for the newly formed Canon Manufacturing (U.K.) Limited.

Fläkt Marine’s Colin Lockhart and Ken Mcfadyen recommended us to Jim Shields of Flakt Environmental, and so we have been invited to design and produce graphics to the highest British Standards: ‘Dirivent’ air conditioning, compressed air, drainage, domestic water services etc., and to produce contract packages for distribution to subcontractors.

1992-05 Edit: The contract (ref #11) continued past April, and we were rewarded with a further contract (ref #12) working on a variety of projects for both ABB Fläkt Environmental Limited and Flakt Limited.

1992-11 Edit: Our workload was varied and very interesting — from the HVAC systems of private luxury yachts to low-level column diffusion systems for Marks and Spencer department stores. We enjoyed a very good relationship with Flakt Environmental until the company restructured in favour of Birmingham-based draughting and design late 1994

Angus

We are delighted to announce that we have won a contract to prepare designs and drawings for a large scale model of Torness Power Station for Angus Model makers and this is expected to run through most of April 1992. This new contract is small, but a good sign to kick-off this years’ second quarter.

1994-08 Edit: After this successful short contract (ref #10), we continued working with Angus for several other projects and models over the years.
