Glossary
parable:
A few years ago an Agency CAD draughtsman called Bob was talking to Fred, his agent, on the phone, and Bob was dismayed to suddenly realise that he’d lost a lot of work simply because Fred did not know that Ducting was the same thing as HVAC, or that Building Services was the same as Mechanical and pipework! Agent Fred said that there had been many occasions when he couldn’t find people to fill client’s requirements, yet unwittingly there were several people right under his nose who were unemployed and looking for work.
All because of a lack of a glossary of jargon and keywords.
Hopefully the following will help. We have decided to simply arrange keywords below in the hope that search engines will find this and enlightenment will follow! At the end we explore the meaning of the term ‘engineer’. Enjoy! (more…)
